Local transportation to medical appointments, to grocery shopping, and to the Senior Center - must make reservations 24 hours in advance.

Middlesex County Area Transit (MCAT)
Call 1-800-221-3520 for reservations.
MCAT provides essential transportation services to older adults (60+) and people with disabilities through a reservation-based service. MCAT also provides community-based transportation through fixed route shuttles.

Discounted Fare on NJ Transit

Senior citizens 62 and older and people with disabilities may take advantage of the reduced fare at any time on trains, buses, and light rail vehicles. Check their website for additional details and an application.

Discounted Fare on Amtrak
Amtrak travelers 65 years of age and over are eligible to receive a 10% discount on most rail fares on most Amtrak trains. On cross-border services operated jointly by Amtrak and VIA Rail Canada, a 10% Senior discount is applicable to travelers aged 60 and over.

The SAGE LGBT Elder Hotline provides gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender seniors the ability to talk with our trained peer-counselor volunteers about issues including isolation, relationship concerns, bullying, HIV/AIDS, and much more. We also provide local senior resource information for cities and towns across the United States.
