Piscataway Public Library has many helpful resources for immigrants, including:
- Weekly English as second language (ESL) classes in the spring and fall (see more information below)
- Books, DVDs, and CDs for learning English
- Citizenship materials that help you study for the U.S. Naturalization test
- Books in world languages for adults and children
Piscataway Public Library offers free English as a second language (ESL) classes for adults learning English. The ESL classes are split into two 10-week semesters. The fall semester starts in September and ends in November. The spring semester starts in February and ends in April. Classes take place on weekdays in the afternoon or evening for one hour per week. Typically we offer a few beginner classes. Please note we prioritize Piscataway residents for these classes.
Registration for fall classes is now closed. No more names can be added to the waitlist. Registration for the spring semester will open in January. The exact registration date will be added to this webpage in late December. If you would like more information about the ESL Program, please fill out the form below or email the librarian Ruby at esl@piscatawaylibrary.org.
