2022 Summer Reading Club: Oceans of Possibilities
What is the Summer Reading Club?
Each year, the Library provides a summer reading program to our community to encourage children to read for fun and to help kids keep using all of the skills they’ve learned in school over summer vacation!
This year’s Summer Reading Club runs from June 17th through August 5th. Our 2022 theme is Ocean of Possibilities! Starting June 17th, you’ll be able to earn awesome prizes by reading and completing fun activities.
Who can participate?
Anyone who is a Piscataway resident between the ages of 0-12 years.
How do I register?
Registration begins on June 17, 2022.
You can choose to register for our online Summer Reading Club program using READsquared (our summer reading website) to log reading and complete activities.
You can choose to register for our paper folder program in-person at Kennedy or Westergard Library. You'll log reading and completed activities using our Summer Reading Club Paper Folder.
For either format, kids ages 0-4 years will be enrolled in our PreK Oceans of Possibilities program, and kids ages 5-12 years will be enrolled in our Children's Oceans of Possibilities program.
Registration continues until Thursday, July 29.
How do I earn prizes?
There are two ways that you can earn points and win prizes:
- Log the minutes that you spend reading (or spend being read to) on our READsquared Summer Reading Club website or on your Summer Reading Club Paper Folder.
- Complete activities to earn points on our READsquared Summer Reading Club website or on your Summer Reading Club Paper Folder!
Earn up to 1,000 POINTS and FIVE Prizes! Wow! Prizes can be picked up at either library location.
