Digital Media

EBSCO eBook Collection is online versions of print books that your library has either purchased with a perpetual license or via an annual subscription. eBooks that are owned will be available to the library in perpetuity, with provisions being made for long term access and preservation.

Newspaper Source Plus (EBSCOhost) provides a full-text digital collection of the world’s major news content.  It includes millions of articles from newspapers, newswires, and news magazines.  In addition, it offers television and radio transcripts and ongoing daily updates from popular news sources.

OpenDissertations (EBSCOhost) is an open-access database built to assist researchers in locating both historic and contemporary dissertations and theses. 

Rosetta Stone (EBSCOhost) uses cloud-based solutions to help all types of learners read, write, and speak more than 30 languages. 

Science

Agricola is a bibliographic database of citations to the agricultural literature.  Created by the National Agricultural Library, the database covers materials in all formats, including printed works from the 15th century.

Agris has indexes and abstracts on world literature covering all aspects of agricultural sciences and technology, including grey literature.  Many with links to full-text articles.  Coverage from 1975 to date.  Published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

ChemIDplus Advanced is a database of 350,000 chemical records, including over 100,000 structures.  Locator links allow immediate searching of other databases for information about a given chemical.

CINAHL Completethe Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, is one of the worlds most comprehensive sources of full text for nursing and allied health journals, providing indexing for more than 5,400 journals and full text for over 1,300 journals.

Civil Engineering Database is an index to all of the American Society of Civil Engineers publications from 1973 to the present.

Community Arts Day

Join us for Community Arts Day! Piscataway community members of all ages are invited to share music and dance performances, as well as traditional, handmade and cultural art, photography, calligraphy, poetry, pottery, jewelry, clothing, and more. Celebrate the creativity of our community from 1-4pm on Saturday, May 6 at Kennedy Library.

There are two ways to participate in Community Arts Day! Would you like to share traditional, handmade, or cultural works of art for a three-month-long exhibit? Apply for the exhibit here! Deadline to complete this form is March 10. Artwork for the exhibit may be dropped off at Kennedy Library between March 20-24. This exhibit will be displayed from April through June at the Kennedy Library.

You can also participate by performing and/or hosting an activity/display table! Would you like to perform music, dance, or poetry? Or showcase traditional, handmade, or cultural art at a table? Apply here! Deadline to complete this form is April 8. Performances and tables will take place during our May 6 event. Interactive table activities are highly encouraged!
