Google Digital Skills Workshops for Children in Grades 3-5

Our Google Digital Skills workshops will provide an opportunity for children in grades 3-5 to use some of Google’s popular creation tools to strengthen their digital skills in a fun, exciting and interactive way.

All Google Digital Skills workshops require registration. Workshops will all take place using the Zoom.

Date : Tuesday 10/13
Time : 6-7pm
Grade : 3rd-5th

Participants will have the opportunity to learn a variety of digital skills by creating and publishing a fun-filled Google Slide presentation to show their appreciation for a parent/guardian, teacher, mentor or friend. After creating their slideshows, they will then have a chance to share their presentation with other participants as well as friends and family.

IMPORTANT NOTE : All children registered for this workshop MUST have access to a Google /Gmail account in order to participant. If they do not have one, or one that can be utilized by them from a parent/guardian, a free account can be created for them to use by a trusted adult here : https://accounts.google.com/signup?hl=en

Dates : Wednesday, 10/14 and Wednesday 10/21
Time : 4-5pm
Grade : 3rd-5th

In this two-part workshop series, participants will use Google Slides to create a rich and visual choose your own adventure story. They will learn the basics of creating fun and interactive slides, and then how to create conditionals which will allow them to create choices for their characters as they embark on the adventures. Students will then have the opportunity to publish their stories, share with participants to enjoy as well as friends or family!

Please note that this is a two-part series. You just need to register once to attend both sessions. Only those who can attend both sessions should register.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore using Google Forms to create a fun and interactive and shareable quiz game! They will then have a chance to share with other participants and see who has created the most challenging game of all!
