Although most famous for paintings like the Mona Lisa

, the argument has been made that Leonardo’s true genius is revealed in his notebooks. Thousands of pages are still in existence today, filled with exquisite anatomical drawings, sketches for inventions, architectural plans, and notes on an astonishing range of topics in his trademark right-to-left mirror script. We will be looking at a variety of Leonardo’s notebook pages that detail the work of this most multidisciplinary of Renaissance Men, including pages on science, geometry, engineering, and of course art.
