  1. I have been a Piscataway resident and devoted JFK library patron for 25 years. I have always looked at the library as offering resources for comfort and enjoyment as well as to help me learn about myself and the world I live in.I understand that there are many different views on a variety of pertinent subjects and appreciate that libraries have always been a place for the free exchange of ideas. However in perusing the current suggestions from the library for the summer months there appears to be a lack of representation of books/media,relating to the Christian perspective. I am sure I am not the only one desiring more attention to this perspective which has does have value and can educate. I.would like to reccomend a book by John Perkins, “Let Justice Roll Down.”

I am also disappointed that there is no highlighting of the reason we celebrate July 4th. I am sure there are many good books/movies/other media which would serve to help us remember the principles on which this country was founded . In these troubled times of civil unrest and COVID19 restrictions tending to isolate and curtailing outward forms of celebration we need to come together by remembering our common history and bond.

    • Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I will pass on the book suggestion to the person responsible for purchasing. We appreciate your time spent using our library, reading our blog and commenting. We will continue to strive to meet our patron needs for education, information, and entertainment.
