Remote Library Resources

During this unprecedented time, the staff at Piscataway Public Library want to remain engaged with our community of users.  While we recognize that each of us carries a burden right now, we hope to maintain some sense of connection during this time of social distancing.  Here are some ways you can continue to use the Library even when our doors are closed. You can also always email staff members at the addresses located on the Staff Directory page.

To keep up with reading:  Piscataway Public Library electronic book resources.  You will need to sign up for accounts with each service using your library card and PIN.

RBDigital is an electronic magazine collection.  Download the RBDigital app on your device and check out popular magazines using your library card.

eLibraryNJ is the statewide ebook and audiobook collection.  Use the Libby app for fast and easy access to new and blacklist books.  Some newer items may have long wait lists, but you can customize your search to only show what is currently available.

Hoopla is another ebook and audiobook service.  Hoopla also has television show episodes and some movies and music.  There is a consortium-wide limit to daily downloads from Hoopla, so you may have to try more than once to access titles.

To help with virtual learning: Piscataway Public Library Children’s Librarians have put together a site of resources.

Piscataway Public Library also subscribes to several databases:

Learning Express offers job seekers help with building resumes and finding new positions.  Users can also explore career fields and find a match for interests and skills.

Rosetta Stone can be used to learn a new language.
