Can I have a document notarized at the library?

Piscataway Public Library offers a Notary Service to all Middlesex County residents. A photo ID and proof of residency is required. There is no cost for this service. No appointments are taken, but you are encouraged to call before coming in for service to ensure availability. Free Notary Service also may be available with the Piscataway Township Clerk, 732-562-2300.

How can I donate used books to the library?

The library collects donations of used and like-new materials on behalf of the Friends of the Library, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization of volunteers who fundraise to support Piscataway Library. Items can be dropped of at the front desk of either branch of the Piscataway Public Library during regular business hours. We request that large donations only be brought to the Kennedy Branch.

How do I get a library card?

All individuals must be present in the library to obtain or renew a library card, regardless of age or residency.


Proof of residency in Piscataway is required before a card is issued. Borrowing priviledges apply for 3 years for those who live or own propoerty in town. At the end of that 3-year period, the physical card is still valid, but you must bring your card and ID to the library to renew the account. Valid proof of residency for Adults is:
