Materials for the Visually Impaired
The library offers a sizeable collection of large print books and audio books for those who are visually impaired. Print magnifiers are also available at both Kennedy and Westergard Libraries. Equipment for the Hearing Impaired
Piscataway Library is a New Jersey Deaf Resource Center and loans out telecommunication devices for the deaf (TTYs), closed captioned decoders, assistive listening devices and wireless auditory assistance kits. Additional materials and services can be found through the New Jersey Library for the Blind and Handicapped at www.njlbh.org.
Library staff members will provide books and other materials to homebound individuals. To register for home delivery, please fill out this form.
Piscataway Public Library supports literacy with an up-to-date collection of print and non-print English as a Second Language (ESL) and Basic Reading materials for adults and children; ESL classes for adults; and study guides for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) for adults.
Fax service is available at Kennedy Library. This is a self-service machine that users automated instructions. Credit and debit cards are accepted. The cost to send a fax to the USA, Canada & Caribbean (or to send email) is at a rate of $1.75 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page, including cover sheet if you choose to use one. Piscataway Public Library offers a Notary Service to all Middlesex County residents. A photo ID and proof of residency is required. There is no cost for this service. No appointments are taken, but you are encouraged to call before coming in for service to ensure availability. Free Notary Service also may be available with the Piscataway Township Clerk, 732-562-2300.
Service will be available at Kennedy Library (732-463-1633) on Mondays 10:00am-12:00pm; Tuesdays 6:00-8:00pm; Wednesdays 1:30-3:00pm.(These hours were updated February 2, 2017.)
The number of documents to be notarized at any one time is 4. If witnesses are required, the individual must bring them; the library will not supply any witnesses. Documents will only be notarized if they are written in English. Notary Service is NOT available for Deeds, Wills, Living Wills, Living Trusts, Codicils, Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage Certificates, Powers of Attorney, an Affidavit or any other similar document, copies of Driver’s Licenses or copies of Passports.
In accordance with NJ Notarial Law, Notaries will not provide service if the customer, document or circumstances of the request for Notary Service raise any issue of authenticity, ambiguity, doubt or uncertainty for the library. In these circumstances, the library Notary may, at his/her sole discretion, decline to provide Notary Service.

Wireless printing is available at Kennedy and Westergard Branches of Piscataway Public Library. In addition to desktop comptuers, you will now be able to print in both black/white and color from mobile devices, including smart phones, tablets and laptop computers.
