4th Annual Retro Gaming Day Celebrates History of Video Games

PISCATAWAY, NJ -- On Sunday, September 15 at 1:00 pm, the Kennedy Branch of Piscataway Public Library will host the 4th Annual Retro Gaming Day.

This all-ages celebration of retro gaming will feature live demonstrations and open play on vintage consoles, an ongoing high score contest, video game themed trivia, and a coloring contest for kids.

Vintage consoles available for play will include Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis, PlayStation 1, and much more! Play your way through video game history, from Space Invaders up through Sonic and Mario. Join us and relive the nostalgia of your favorite characters from the late 70s, all the way up to the late 90s -- and share your love of gaming with the whole family.

You can also browse early gaming memorabilia and accessories on display, including issues of the Nintendo Power magazine, books of retro tips and cheats, and vintage accessories like Nintendo’s R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy).
